TOUCH THE EARTH—AGES 6 -10

JULY 18  – JULY 22

JULY 25 – July 29

Discover ways to get a closer look at wild things.  Playful activities focus on developing a connection with nature through expanding a sensory awareness of the environment.  A focus on nature discovery keeps young minds growing and learning while encouraging a comfort in and love of the outdoors. A portion of each day is devoted to unstructured play in the forest. Research shows this fosters creative thinking and problem solving.

ADVENTURERS—AGES 11 -13

AUGUST 1 –  AUGUST 5

AUGUST 8 – AUGUST 12

Venture into the world of ecological relationships through adventure-based learning.  Go on all-day hikes on forested trails, navigate orienteering courses, learn outdoor living skills, practice archery and paddle a canoe or kayak. Examine in more detail the habitats around you.
