We weathered the Pandemic, and now the Albany Area Amateur Astronomers are returning with public star parties. This year, parties will be on Friday, May 19th beginning at 9:30 PM, Friday, July 14 beginning at 10:00 PM, and Thursday, August 17th with the AAAA Annual Meeting beginning at 7:30 with a star party following if weather permits. (The public is always encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting prior to the star party.) Star parties are cancelled if the skies will be mostly cloudy. Please visit our website for more information and to register.
Come view the stars and planets in Landis' dark skies with members of the Albany Area Amateur Astronomers. A variety of telescopes will be set up for viewing the heavens, revealing nebulae, star clusters, galaxies, double stars, planets, and other celestial objects.
Location: The Meeting House field
Registration: Free. Donations to the Arboretum greatly appreciated.
