Learn all about the Special Olympics New York and meet some of the incredible athletes at our first-ever, Special Olympics Mini Games at House of Sport! The morning will kick off with Special Olympics athlete Tom Mooney and ABC’s Group Training Director Toni Howard with TNT HIIT Style Workout at 8:00am! After the workout, there will be a private shopping event for participants before the store opens.
Afterward, head over to our HitTrax Multi-Sport Cage and meet the Special Olympics athletes who will compete in our BEAT THE HOUSE COMPETITION to battle it out for their name on our House Trophy!
9:00am – 10:00am: Softball
10:00am – 11:00am: Floor Ball
11:00am – 12:00pm: Soccer
12:00pm, the ABC Spartans Deadlift Practice and Exhibition will start near our Rockwall and Bikes & Fitness Center. This will be their last practice before their next big powerlifting competition!
Learn more about this great organization that provides inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to discover and unleash the champion within. Their athletes experience the thrill of competing in authentic sports. They overcome defeat, taste victory and stay active for life. Special Olympics New York will have information on their annual polar plunge and other ways to help contribute and get involved with this amazing organization.
