Saint Gregory’s is a co-educational Catholic, independent primary school located in the Capital District of NY in the town of Loudonville. We have small classes and give individual attention to students as they pursue challenging academic studies. As an independent school, our policies are set by a Board of Trustees made up of parents, alumni and community leaders. Saint Gregory’s School respects the uniqueness of each student and embraces the diversity that each one brings to us. We welcome students of all faiths.

Founded in 1962, Saint Gregory’s School is located on 22 acres in Loudonville, a suburb of Albany, New York and serves students from many surrounding communities. The school's fundamental principles are: Academic Excellence, Christian Principles and Leadership Skills. Small class sizes, individual attention and advanced courses are offered. Saint Gregory’s accepts boys and girls aged 2 to 6 in its Nursery through Kindergarten program, and girls and boys in grades 1 through 8. Saint Gregory’s offers full day Kindergarten and full day options for Nursery (2 & 3 year olds) and Pre-K (4 year olds). Before and after school care is available.

Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s elementary education through extended at-home activities, support of good work habits and study skills, and frequent contact with teachers.

The dedicated faculty of Saint Gregory’s School consists of highly-trained educators who stay informed of current trends in their ever-changing fields. Our faculty continually updates and integrates materials, methods and themes to fit the needs of their students.

Saint Gregory’s students come from 16 different school districts including: Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Shenendehowa, Guilderland, Bethlehem, Delmar, Slingerlands, North Colonie, South Colonie, and Averill Park.

Saint Gregory’s students participate in athletic competitions in Soccer, Cross Country Running, Basketball, Skiing, and Track and Field. Musical interests are encouraged through the English Hand Bell Choir, Vocal Choir, Rock Band, Pep Band, and individual instrument instruction.

Our campus features an inground pool, a hill for sledding, and outdoor basketball court, two gynasiums, and several newly renovated classrooms . Additionally, Saint Gregory's offers Latin in Grades 5-8 and Spanish beginning in our pre-kindergaren program
