Odyssey Teen Camp is THE place for teens looking for an exciting, judgment-free summer camp where they can be their truest and most authentic selves. Located in the Hudson Valley, a short drive away from New York City, we offer 1, 2, 3, and 4-week sessions for teenagers interested in trying new things, making lifelong friends, and having the summer of a lifetime! Choose from over 50 different activities each and every day, and do exactly what you want to do.

For 1-4 weeks, we come together to form a community that is grounded and giving. We provide campers the freedom they need to thrive while keeping them physically and emotionally safe.

Summer Teen Camp

What if I told you there was a place, a safe haven, where teens 12-18 go every summer to be free from judgment and negativity?

Such a place exists. You’ve found it.

In a world that has all sorts of ideas as to what teens should be, a world that can’t stop complaining about “kids today,” a world that trusts teens less-and-less all the while it heaps more and more pressure on them, a place where teens can come and feel safe to be vulnerable and express their inner most thoughts and feelings sounds like an impossibility. But it isn’t.

You see, the Odyssey Teen Camp summer program is intentionally designed to honor and celebrate uniqueness, not disparage it.

Sure, we run more than 50 activities a day, ranging from Thai massage to photography to ga ga (you’ll have to come and find out if you don’t know what it is!), but what we are really doing here is creating a safe place for teens to be honest with themselves about who they really are.

teencamp07carnival (131)We have seen countless teens develop the confidence they need to have integrity in the face of social pressure, a sense of self that is not defined by the value judgments of others, and the understanding that true connection is possible without needing to “be cool.”

A note from our teen camp director

When asked why teens should come to camp, our Director, Adam Simon says it best:

“Teenagers should come to teen camp because they will have the time of their lives. They will make real, honest, and valuable friendships with so many different people. They will get to try new things without the fear of being criticized, and this will free them up to discover things they love, and might even be very good at, that they never would have tried before.

CardboardmonstersThey will be able to let their guard down, relax, laugh, and learn about themselves in a beautiful environment with wonderful people.

They will eat healthy food and discover all sorts of healthy activities that can serve them for a lifetime.

They will be with counselors who will serve as wonderful friends, mentors, and role models, and these young adults will help, honor, respect, teach and care very much about their well being. Being seen, heard and respected by an older person (besides their parents) can make all the difference in the world.”
