Learn to Skate

Classes are offered this spring at Albany County Hockey Facility from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the following dates March 17th, March 24, March 31st, and a final day on April 8th 7:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Snow Plow Sam: Our program is designed for pre-school age skaters, age 3-5. Skaters will have a 30-minute group lesson each week to learn skating basics where each class concentrates specifically on these young skaters and how they learn.
  • Basic Skills: Our program is designed for school-aged skaters (age 5 and up) and teaches basic through advanced skating skills in a 30-minute group lesson. Groups are divided by skating skill/level and age in order to provide skaters with the best possible learning environment.
  • Basic Skills Adult: Our program is designed for older teens and adult skaters only. Skaters will have a 30-minute group lesson each week that provides a curriculum centered around the basic and upper level skating skills of adult skaters.
