What is a Krampus?
Krampus is St. Nicholas’ alter-ego, a half-demon folklore creature from Cetral Europe who punishes bad children. He (or she) appears around December 5 in “Krampus run” parades, creating a spectacle and checking spectators to find the bad ones. Krampus parades occur throughout Central Europe, bringing some cheer to the dark side of the year. Dozens of U.S. cities now host Krampus parades (or smaller pub crawl events), as participants in elaborate masks and costumes wander down the street searching out who’s been naughty or nice.
Workshop Description: Participants will use a base latex mask to create a unique Krampus mask of your own design and build. The class includes all materials and instruction.
Location: This class will be held at Dreamlights Studio in Viaport Mall, 93 W. Campbell Rd., Schenectady.
(We might also bring this class to your location. Please contact for details.)

The long term goal is to gather a local Crewe of Krampusses to add more festivity to local
parades and celebrations, and create a Capital Region Krampus Fest or Parade of our own.
