Intro to Off Trail Exploring

Learn how to explore and enjoy the Capital District Wildlife Management Area by hiking off trail with Cherry Plain’s own naturalist & storyteller, Lloyd Barnhart, a member of Friends Of Cherry Plain State Park.

Dress for the day's weather and wear shoes/boots suitable for hiking in rough terrain. Bring a compass if you have one, along with a snack and water bottle. Families with children are encouraged to participate in this free outing.

Participation limited to 15 participants, so pre-register by calling Lloyd at 518-674-2747. Meet at Cherry Plain State Park entrance. Rain date: October 29th.
