Hounds of Halloween

Downtown dog trick-or-treating and the Costumed Canine Contest return! A portion of proceeds benefit Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Happy Howl-o-ween! On Saturday, October 19, ghoulish golden retrievers, devilish dachshunds, and terrifying terriers will return to roam the streets of downtown Albany for Hounds of Halloween. This paw-some annual event features a Canine Costume Contest with prizes for the winners, dog trick-or-treating at dozens of Downtown Albany businesses, and Yappy Hour specials at participating bars and restaurants.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Registration:
- Registration is per dog, and $20 in advance through Eventbrite or $25 cash, credit, or Venmo at the event. Advance ticket sales end at 12:00 PM on October 18.
- There will be a limited supply of tickets available on the day of the event. Visit the registration booth next to Olde English Pub & Pantry (683 Broadway in downtown Albany, NY) to register your dog on the day of the event.
- A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.

- Entry for you and your dog into the Canine Costume Contest, with great prizes for the winners!
