Homeschool Art Education Program *NEW* Art in the Open: Murals, Public Works, and Community Expression

Art in the Open is a dynamic, project-based homeschool art education program that explores the power of public art — from large-scale murals to small community installations. Students will consider world-renowned public works as well as local public art within the Capital District to learn how art transforms shared spaces, communicates collective values, and strengthens community identity.

Students will create individual and group works that explore scale, message, and medium. Hands-on projects may include individual large-scale mural panels, community-inspired mixed media pieces, and temporary installations using eco-friendly materials.
Our 2025/2026 program will run with an hour and a half classes every other week, with a total of 5 classes each semester. Cost is $35 per class ($175 per student for all 5 classes). Students can jump in at a prorated cost. All supplies included.
