“Curtain Up! Light the Lights!” as Up In One Productions proudly presents Gypsy! Regarded by many theater professionals as the finest musical ever created, Gypsy debuted on Broadway in 1959 starring Ethel Merman and has had several Revivals starring Angela Lansbury (1974), Tyne Daly (1989), Bernadette Peters (2003), Patti Lupone (2008), Imelda Staunton (2015) and, most recently, Audra McDonald (2024). Over the years, Gypsy has won multiple Tony Awards including Best Musical.
Arthur Laurents' landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart and sophistication. The musical contains many songs that have become popular standards, including Everything’s Coming Up Roses, Small World, Together (Wherever We Go), You Gotta Get a Gimmick and Let Me Entertain You.
The Up In One Production stars Victoria Howland (Mama Rose), Mary Kate Barnett (Louise), Kevin McCarthy (Herbie), Ory Lopez (Tulsa), Lisa Bettencourt (June),and features Aya Rock-Stryker (Baby June), Jane Langan (Young Louise), Abbey Ressa (Tessie Tura), Madelynn Taylor (Mazeppa), Jane Petruncola (Electra), Russell Austin, Katelyn Farcher, Cedric James, Abby Klein, Annabelle Licari, Declan McCarthy, Megan Leigh Johnson, Melissa Makarski, Felicia Olson, Josh Rosengrant, Conan Ryan, Eric Ryan, Harvey Ryan, Zachary Simmons, and Elaine Young.
