Frost Faires were hugely popular in the 1700s—help us carry on the tradition!
- With snow, bring your snow tube or plastic sled and enjoy the sledding area behind the visitor center!
- Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides to Tour Stop 1 and back.
- Join a noontime nature walk, enjoy a fire and hot cocoa, and partake in a number of indoor activities
Inspired by Frost Faires in 1700s England, this is a day that offers a wide variety of activities such as horse-drawn carriage rides, on-going children’s crafts and games, contra-dancing for young and old, historic handwriting demonstrations, cannon and musket firings, a bonfire, a 12 PM nature and scavenger hunt led by an Adirondack Guide, plus tubing down the visitor center hill!
