Join the World Awareness Children's Museum for the second program in the special family-friendly summer series "Beyond the Exhibit: Learning About Haudenosaunee Life." Highlighted by lightning footwork that seems to float on air, the Smoke Dance is a traditional social dance of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, a confederated alliance of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora nations. Thomas is one of this generation’s most celebrated smoke dancers, and he and his Smoke Dancers will dazzle you with their talent. These programs are made possible by LARAC, The Glens Falls Foundation, and The Cloudsplitter Foundation.
