The Capital District Reptile Expo returns to the Albany Capital Center each spring and fall. We have a vision for our Expo of promoting the exotic pet trade in a way that encourages education and proper husbandry and does not endorse the unethical capture of wild animals to offer them for sale in the pet trade. To support that goal we have renewed our partnered with 1% For The Planet for the second year to donate a portion of our profits to wildlife conservation focusing on habitat preservation, protecting endangered species, and stopping wildlife crime. We encourage our attendees to research pet needs in advance and have discussions with the breeders, educators, and veterinarians at the Expo before making an informed purchase decision. We carefully select vendors that have an excellent reputation for care and responsible breeding for their animals in alignment with our vision.
