The Berkshire Museum combines art, science, and history to create thought-provoking experiences for visitors of all ages. The museum is open year-round in downtown Pittsfield - just a short drive from Albany - offering engaging exhibitions, hands-on activities, and more. Rain or shine, the Berkshire Museum is the perfect place to spark your curiosity and discover something new.

The Berkshire Museum features enriching exhibitions on three floors of its century-old building including an Aquarium, family-favorite exhibitions that explore our natural world, and a series of rotating exhibitions that combine art, science, and history in exciting new ways.

The museum is brought to life with a variety of engaging activities and events every week. From messy, hands-on science experiments to inspiring gallery tours and talks, the museum's programming offers something for everyone. Early learners can explore their world in the museum's series of WeeMuse programming for ages 0 to 5, enriching weekend and after-school programming helps school-age children develop new passions and ideas, and gallery talks, classes, and film screenings bring the museum to life for adults of all ages.
