Pride in the Sky - Walkway Over the Hudson

Kick off Pride season in the Hudson Valley on the Walkway Over the Hudson at the Second Annual Pride In The Sky Community Celebration! Big Gay Hudson Valley in partnership with the Friends of the Walkway nonprofit organization and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will host the second annual Pride In The Sky community celebration on Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. This FREE all-ages, pet-friendly event will kickoff Pride season in the Hudson Valley with a nighttime event that will cover the breathtaking Walkway Over the Hudson in rainbows in more ways than one. We ask all attendess to pre-register for a FREE ticket so that we know how many to anticipate; please consider making donation to help support the event expenses when doing so.

A Big Gay Community Craft Day

This event is FREE but we do have zine and print-making materials for a small sliding scale & ways to donate to A Big Gay Market if you feel inspired too! Masks will be encouraged, but not mandated.

A Big Gay Market at Washington Park

IT’S TIMEEEEE to announce the first A Big Gay Market of the YEAR! We are feeling more aligned than ever to gather again in queer and gender expansive JOY on Sunday, April 27 from 11 am - 4 pm at Washington Park on Knox St Mall in Albany! This market features 120 vendors, several food trucks & beverage vendors, a community area, a free kids tent sponsored by Refuge Troy AND a new Wellness Section featuring some community programming curated by Cheyenne of Womb2WombAdornments! We are SO grateful for our sponsors Assemblymember Gabriella Romero, Councilmember Richard Conti, The Flour Bender Bakeshop and In Our Own Voices for helping us make this event possible!

Catskill Flyer: Spring & Summertime Rides - Catskill Mountain Railroad

All Aboard the Catskill Flyer! See the natural beauty of the Catskills from our railroad’s unique perspective aboard Ulster County’s scenic train. All trains are round trip from the Westbrook Lane Station located in the Kingston Plaza adjacent Uptown Kingston’s Stockade District. Join us as we travel through some of the oldest farmlands in the United States where we will cross the Esopus creek as we travel through the Hurley Flats and then start climbing Hurley Mountain. Our Catskill Flyer rides are approximately 90 minutes long. The train departure times are 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Our excursion is pulled by a 1951 Alco RS1 diesel locomotive. Passengers can enjoy the trip in our vintage coaches or on our open-air flat cars for the ultimate views on their ride.
