Surrounded by 140 acres of meadows, forests and mountain vistas, the Clark is one of the world’s most loved and respected art museums. Renowned for its intimate galleries and outstanding collection, it is both an art museum and a center for education in the visual arts. The Clark’s mission and its geographical location define three essential aspects of its character and identity: the quality of its art, the beauty of its pastoral setting, and the depth of its commitment to the generation of ideas.

Get your preschoolers off to a good start with themed talks, developmentally-appropriate gallery guides, and artmaking activities designed for this age group with the Start with Art program offered on second Saturday mornings of the winter months. Best suited to three- to six-year-olds and their parents, these two-hour events are free and open to the public. Artmaking can be messy—children should come dressed appropriately.
