An Early Childhood Learning Center for children ages 18 months – 6 years. Conveniently located in Watervliet, NY. Kids Express boasts highly qualified, masters level teachers, as well as some of the lowest ratios in the capital region!

Kids Express is an Early Childhood School for children ages 2 – 6 that provides smaller class sizes and employs highly qualified teachers and educational specialists who are committed to the vision of all children reaching their fullest potential.

Our classroom staff is comprised of Early Childhood teachers who are certified by New York State to teach preschool and kindergarten, Educational Administrators and professional teams who can assess children’s development at all levels and stages.

We serve children who are developing at a typical pace, may be gifted, may be thinkers who see the world a little differently, may be English language learners, may be children who have not yet learned to self-regulate, or who just may need an environment where they are respected for being who they are.

The bottom line is that we are of the opinion that while in our learning center that no child should be under challenged, no child should be over challenged, and all children should develop a strong sense of pride and self-esteem through personal growth and accomplishment.

Our Curriculum: Research confirms the value of early education for young children. Programs that support effective teaching practices have been shown to lead to important growth in children's intellectual and social development, which is critical to their future academic success.

Quality programs that provide challenging but achievable curriculum engage children in thinking, reasoning, and communicating with others. With teacher direction and guidance, children respond to the challenge and acquire important skills and concepts.

Our curriculum is based on knowledge of theory and research about how children develop and learn; it reflects the growing consensus among early childhood professional organizations that a greater emphasis be placed on young children's development of the social self, conceptual learning, acquisition of basic skills, and participation in meaningful and relevant learning experiences.

Children's current strengths and skills should serve as the starting point for new experiences and instruction rather than being a limitation. To effectively teach children, teachers must build on children's existing competencies and then provide opportunities for growth. Our curriculum is designed with all of this in mind.
